International Student Placement

The Right School. The Right Family. Real Support.

Sending your child to study in the U.S. is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. We help international families find a school that fits how their student actually learns — and we stay involved long after they start.

We Do This Differently

A lot of agencies will find your child a school. What most of them won't do is make sure it's the right one — or stick around to help when it matters.

We Match on Fit, Not Availability

Learning style, goals, personality, and family priorities — that's what drives our recommendations.

We Stay Involved

Check-ins after enrollment, advocacy when needed, and a real person to call when something comes up.

15 Years in Student Exchange

Christina ran programs at ISE and CETUSA before founding ICES. This is what we've always done.

Six Pathways. One Right Fit.

We don't offer one-size-fits-all. Tell us about your student and we'll figure out which pathway makes sense.

NYC Day School + Homestay

Best for: High schoolers who want city access with daily structure

Your student attends a day school in New York City and lives with a vetted homestay family. We match the school to their profile and handle everything from onboarding to parent updates.

Long Island Prime Placement

Best for: Families looking for a suburban feel near NYC

Same quality academics, quieter setting. We match based on community fit — not just rankings — and factor in commute, lifestyle, and what your family actually wants.

Boarding School Track

Best for: Students who do well with independence and routine

Your student lives on campus full-time. We identify the right school based on who they are — not just where they can get in — and support them through admissions and the transition.

Hybrid & Homeschool-Friendly

Best for: Students with non-traditional needs or schedules

Not every student fits a traditional school schedule. We map out flexible programs that keep them on track academically and leave options open for later.

Summer & Short-Term Immersion

Best for: Families who want to try it first

A few weeks to a summer. Designed around what your student wants to get out of it — language, leadership, academics, or just the experience of living in the U.S.

Not Sure? That's Normal.

Most families aren't sure when they first reach out

We'll ask the right questions, talk through your options, and tell you what we'd actually recommend. No pressure, no pitch.

What Working With Us Looks Like

1

We Talk

You tell us about your student and what matters to your family. 20 minutes, free, no commitment. You leave with clarity on which pathway fits.

2

We Build a Shortlist

Specific schools and programs tailored to your student. Not a generic list — each one comes with a clear reason why it's a match.

3

We Place & Stay

Applications, visa paperwork, homestay coordination, school onboarding. After enrollment, we keep checking in. If anything comes up, you have someone to call.

What Families Say

"Christina didn't just find a school — she found the right school. Our son has ADHD and we were terrified about placing him abroad. She matched him with a program that actually understands how he learns. He's thriving."

"We worked with two other agencies before Global Link. The difference was night and day. Christina actually listened to what we wanted and stayed in touch the entire year. We never felt alone."
LW

"The homestay family was perfect. Our daughter felt safe and welcomed from day one. Christina's matching process is incredibly thorough — she asked questions no other agency even thought of."

Every Student Has a Story. I Make Sure It Doesn't Get Lost.

I've spent 15+ years in international education — and every single year, I've watched brilliant kids get placed in schools that didn't understand them. Smart families trusting the wrong people. Students falling through the cracks because nobody stayed involved long enough to notice.

I started Global Link Advisors because I believe every student who crosses an ocean to learn deserves someone in their corner who actually knows their name, their goals, and what keeps them up at night. Not a file number. Not a tuition check. A person.

I work with preferred partners like ICES, SEEDS, and ExLink to fulfill homestay, compliance, and operational needs — so I can focus on what matters most: making sure your kid ends up in the right place and thrives there.

I also have a background in special education and IEP advocacy — because the students who learn differently are often the ones who need an advocate most.

Questions We Get Asked a Lot

How much does this cost?
It depends on the pathway and what your student needs. We'll walk through the options on your discovery call so you know exactly what it costs before committing to anything.
Do you handle visas?
We make sure your student's program is SEVIS-compliant and help with the school-side documentation. For immigration law questions, we'll connect you with an attorney who specializes in student visas.
How do you choose homestay families?
Every host family goes through background checks, a home visit, and an interview process. After placement, we do regular check-ins with both the family and the student.
What ages do you work with?
Mostly middle school through high school — ages 11 to 18. Summer programs sometimes accept younger students depending on the program.
What if my child is unhappy or the school isn't working out?
That's why we stay involved. If there's a problem — with the school, the homestay, adjusting to a new country — we work with everyone involved to figure it out. If the placement needs to change, we help with that too.
Can you help neurodivergent students?
Yes — it's one of our specialties. Christina has a background in special education. We match neurodivergent students to schools that actually support how they learn, and help families with IEP advocacy and parent coaching.
What happens on the discovery call?
It's a 20-minute conversation. We ask about your student, you ask about the process, and we'll tell you honestly which pathway fits and what the next step would be. No cost, no obligation.
